Hi there! I am a parenting journalist living in northwest Arkansas. I have a degree in journalism and have more than 15 years of experience in the journalism field. My work can be seen in regional parenting publications (RPPs) across the United States and Canada.
My passion for writing started when I was a little girl. I have always loved to write cards and that creativity carried over into college where I may have gotten into trouble (a time or two) for writing letters during a professor’s lecture. I started writing for the Boston Metro Newspaper during an internship and had a blast interviewing celebrities like Michael Dukakis, celebrity chef Todd English and the late Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter). I realized my love for working with magazines when I interned at Food & Wine Magazine proofreading and editing merchandise copy.
Since becoming a mom, I have coupled my passion for writing and my love for my kids into a budding platform of helping other moms. I want to help moms out there who are overwhelmed, exhausted and stressed out. I want to give you advice on how to get out of bed each morning when sometimes, you just don’t feel like it. I am the person to share these types of tips with you because I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to wake up in the morning and not feel like you can go another day doing the same thing from dusk ’til dawn.
I have plenty to say on the topic of parenting as you can see when you check out My Work page. I’d love it if you’d join me in learning how to find more balance in your life.
